Responsibilities:

  • You evangelise for and direct the company’s focus to what really matters: the user
  • You’re actively involved in defining product strategy
  • You are pushing, improving and challenging the interfaces, interactions and experience of our bonusbox products and services
  • You inspire and manage your team of designers and other specialists to be engaged, effective, and productive
  • You collaborate with product managers, engineers, and the founders
  • You create prototypes that bring design ideas to life
  • You define the information architecture, user model and UI across the product
  • You identify and implement design patterns that ensure a consistent user experience
  • You define, conduct and learn from user research and usability tests

Requirements:

  • You can distill complicated problems into simple and elegant solutions
  • You can think through user problems, find reasonable solutions and rapidly build prototypes
  • You love making things beautiful, and you have a strong understanding of composition, balance, symmetry, and white space.
  • You understand technical constraints behind your decisions and have the chops to communicate your ideas to engineers
  • You have at least 4 years of experience designing for the web
  • You understand how to apply both form and function while maintaining simplicity
  • You think in user flows rather than pages
  • You are metrics-driven with a track record in quantitative and qualitative user testing
  • You have excellent communication and presentation skills and know how to say “no”
  • You thrive in an environment with short feedback loops
  • Master’s degree or higher in a design-related studies
  • Past work experience in a startup or other fast-paced environment

Requirements:

  • You have a great aesthetic sense and can both work within and expand the bonusbox style
  • You are skilled at designing interfaces for any screen and many platforms
  • You are self motivated and able to work independently
  • You know how and enjoy collaborating with engineers
  • You enjoy working on one product for a longer period of time
  • You are eager to work in an agile process
  • You are passionate about typography and iconography
  • You possess basic knowledge of HTML, CSS and current web standards

Desireable skills:

  • You can code your own prototypes

bonusbox is looking for a Community & Customer Support (Intern, full- or part time) to join the team in our Berlin office. You will be our voice to the user and your goal is to inspire a growing user base to regularly share the bonusbox experience.

Your responsibilities:

  • Support and help our community, primarily via written channels (email, Twitter, etc.)
  • Contribute to and improve our customer support framework
  • Channel customer service and user feedback to our product team
  • Make sense of quantitative and qualitative user research
  • Regularly scout the bonusbox universe for great products and curate a handpicked selection of what’s cool
  • Prepare showcases of new partner stores and introduce them to the bonusbox community
  • Keep our users informed on updates to our platform and other worthwhile news in the bonusbox universe

Your qualifications:

  • You have exceptional writing skills and can craft everything from emails and newsletters to blog posts and internal documents
  • You are tech savvy and well versed in using google docs and other cloud-based services
  • You effectively articulate complex matters and come to the point quickly
  • Your organizational skills are second to none
  • You ideally earned a degree in language arts, journalism or communications. Alternatively you have prior experience in a startup or in a customer service oriented work environment
  • Excellent German (native language skills) and English are a MUST!
